Who is Ralph?
If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes, you just have to claw your way through his disguise. And what you will find is a mixture of a music lover and having passion for graphic design. My Communication & Multimedia Design course at Avans University of Applied Sciences helps me combine these passions with assignments. In my own free time I like to make music and teach myself all kinds of stuff, such as the guitar but also software like DaVinci Resolve. I am skilled at using a DAW like Logic Pro and create my own music with it. Check out Arnold Layne or DOORDEWEEKS if you haven't.
Efteling
Since 2022 I have been 'battling' addiction, to the Efteling. I bought my first yearpass and I got my money's worth within a month. There's just something about the atmosphere, immersion, storytelling and overall design of it that keeps calling me back. The Efteling became a place for me to escape the world.
Record Collection
Over the years, I’ve carefully built a personal record collection that reflects my deep appreciation for music history, sound quality, and artistic legacy. What began as a fascination with the physicality and warmth of vinyl quickly evolved into a passion for curating albums that have shaped the way I approach music and storytelling.
My collection features iconic artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Oasis and many others who have influenced my creative style—both in sound and philosophy. I’ve always been drawn to the tangible connection vinyl provides: the ritual of dropping the needle, the attention to full albums, and the artwork that makes each record a piece of cultural history. I also collect a lot of special editions / deluxe editions, since they have the most material available.
Collecting records not only fuels my inspiration as a musician and sound designer, but also helps me understand how different eras approached production, songwriting, and sonic experimentation. I also love the entire concept of owning a piece of music outright, where nobody can take it away from me.
